CMM Programme

The conference handbook containing logistical information about Charles Sturt University and the Wagga2024 program will be found here. (For the time being the 2023 version is at the link, we are at the same venue and much of the general information is applicable.

The complete timetable for the Wagga2024 programme will be inserted below once finalised.

Oral Presentations

The time allocated for Oral Presentations includes question time.  For invited talks, we envisage presentations of 25 minutes + 5 minutes for questions and discussions.  For contributed talks, we envisage presentations of 12 minutes + 3 minutes for questions and discussions.  Please prepare your presentation with these timings in mind, as the ECR session chairs have been instructed to keep strictly to schedule.

Speakers are asked to meet their session chair and upload their presentation to the on-site laptop during the break before their scheduled presentation.  To help things run smoothly, we would prefer presentations in PPT or PDF format - we do not plan to change laptops within a session so please prepare your presentations accordingly.

Poster presentations

Each poster will have its own poster board within room C of the convention centre.  Posters may be hung in either landscape or portrait orientation however they will fit better if in portrait.  Posters may be affixed to the poster board with Velcro tabs - available at the registration desk.  Please find the poster board with your poster number - which can be found from the detailed program here

Posters should be mounted as early as possible.  Please remove your Wednesday session posters by early Thursday morning and your Thursday session posters by the close of the program on Friday.  There will be awards for the best Student Oral presentations and best Student Poster presentations which will be presented on Friday before lunch.

Poster SLAM

All poster presenters are welcome to join the Poster SLAM sessions directly before the poster sessions.  A Poster SLAM is a short presentation (maximum 3 minutes, 2 slides) designed to generate interest in your poster.  It is a way to encourage other delegates who may otherwise have missed your poster to come by and talk to you.  The aim is not to present your entire poster results and outcomes but to advertise your poster so that people will have to drop by to find out more.  Please ensure that you upload any slides you wish to use (maximum of 2, in PPT or PDF format) to the conference laptop during the lunch break.
