Australian Physics Teachers Day

The AIP Teacher Day is a one-day session of the AIP Congress, organised by the AIP Physics Education Group (PEG). It's targeted at practicing and pre-service high school teachers in physics or related disciplines, with networking opportunities, professional development lectures and hands-on workshops. A mix of tertiary and secondary educators will be involved from across Australia, so it's a great opportunity to connect with the physics education community.
Physics Teachers may choose to attend one or all of the following:

The Australian Physics Career Fair is designed to connect physics students with employers, industry leaders and organisations demonstrating how physics skills can translate into fulfilling careers
The Career Fair will provide an opportunity for students to explore career pathways, meet potential employers and gain practical advice on entering the workforce. The program will also include professional development opportunities, including sessions focused on preparing for careers beyond university. Registrations opening soon.

| 1:45 pm (30 minutes) | Talk: Dr Daniel Schumayer (USYD), Hands-on activities, experiments and demonstrations for HSC physics. |
| 2:15 pm (30 minutes) | Talk: Dr Thomas Dixon (UNSW), 3-D printing resonance tubes. |
| 2:45 pm (30 minutes) | Talk: (Presenter TBD) Science Experiments for High School |
| 3:15 pm (1 hour) | Research lab tours: Getting close to quantum computing, next generation solar panels and spectroscopy |
