The Future of Physics Education – Is it you?

  • 30 Jul 2024
  • 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM (AWST)
  • Clews Lecture Theatre, 2nd floor Physics Building UWA

Are you interested in physics education? Have you considered becoming a physics teacher/lecturer? Do you remember the teacher/lecturer who first made physics exciting for you?

Come along and hear from our 3 speakers:

Steve Davey: A high school teacher of over 20 years’ experience at Scotch College and MLC.

Darren Grasso: A teaching intensive academic at UWA.

Anne Dinh: A comparatively younger high school teacher.

Each will offer their own, warts and all perspective on their chosen profession.

  • How they got there
  • What they love about it
  • What they hate about it
  • What attributes they see as essential for a teacher/lecturer
  • How they see physics education evolving in the future

There will be a Q&A, and afterwards pizza and a chance to chat with our speakers informally.
