Colloquium: Evolution of star formation and dust properties of galaxies over cosmic time
Sarah Leslie (Max Planck Institute for Astronomy) It is now well established that the star-formation activity of our Universe increased from the very early epochs, peaked around z=2, and then decreased by an order of magnitude until present age. However, the exact contribution of different galaxy populations to the total SFR budget is not yet well-defined.
