The AIP WA Branch held its AGM on the 26th November 2020 and elected a new Committee as follows:

We’d like to use this opportunity to thank the outgoing Office Bearers, especially Justin Freeman (Past Chair), Drew Parsons (Past Treasurer) and Benjamin Arrow (Past Secretary).
The 2021 AIP WA Branch Committee held its first meeting on Friday 22th January and have already begun to plan some events for 2021, including 3 Sundowners, the Women in Physics Lecture, the Student Conference and a social event.
We highly value our WA physics community and are most keen to hear of any ideas you may have. We would welcome any contribution that promote and/or strengthen physics in WA.

International Conference on Materials Research and Nanotechnology will be held in Rome, Italy, during June 10-12, 2019. This conference is committed to make a phase for addressing recent challenges and progressions in the field of optics photonics and laser through its invited presentations, submitted oral and poster abstracts. The gathering is designed to support the trading of thoughts over an extensive variety of orders.
The primary objective of Optics & Laser is to display new and advance technologies , recent achievements and global trends in optics, photonics and laser to advance interdisciplinary interactions that can nudge the development of this exciting exploration field. Special emphasis will be placed on Photonic & Plasmonic Nanomaterials, Optical Networking and Communications Market, Optical Astronomy, Laser Therapy, Laser Ultrasonics Techniques and Applications and Trends in Optics , Lasers and Photonics and particular advancements to create optic and laser.
At the recent Branch Annual General Meeting (26th October, 2017 held at UQ), the 2018 Branch committee was proposed and accepted.
